Fortunately that the Samsung PN63C550 63-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV Black has become only 97 pounds versus 145 pounds in the 2009 PN63B550 model. How did they reduce much weight? It still swivels. The PN63B550 were built with a very slight buzzing sound at the back. I’ve not noticed any buzz whatsoever with Samsung PN63C550 63-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV Black.
The screen is extremely shiny of course , if you’ve got any windows or light sources without anyone’s knowledge, its very annoying. We keep one dim light on off and away to the far side so we don’t have glare problems.
The heat output seems to be exactly like the PN63B550 model and despite everything I’ve heard and read, this TV emits much less heat when compared to a 2008 52″ Television or even the Samsung 55″ LED/LCD TV. The screen is comparatively cool to the touch and also the back of the TV produces just a moderate level of heat — when I put me in the rear of the TV I can feel slight warmth. However, we run our TV at night with all the brightness set fairly low.
Unlike the PN63B550, this model is viewable from extreme angles. The PN63B550 was very fuzzy when viewed on angles. I saw this sticking with the same TV at the showroom therefore i realize it wasn’t just my TV.
Unhealthy news is the remote is positively awful. Every one of the buttons are actually dead flat although I could easily navigate the last control by touch alone I now find it’s really a hassle. I’ll have to transfer the control to my universal remote. In addition , it seems with each new model that you have to more carefully direct the control to this Samsung Plasma HDTV sensor. If this keeps up, I’m going to place a sniper scope together with the remote device. The good thing is that people rarely need the remote.
Just like other higher end Samsung models, this TV has every one of the user menu settings (advanced settings, cell light control, etc.)
The television is available in a remarkably huge box. While I normally save all of my boxes, this box is nearly as large as an intelligent Car and i also didn’t require to use that much space for storing.
