Housecoat Two Thousand Ten

Please, we all have people days where jeans as well as a belt with a good shirt, regardless of how casual is not the uniform of the day.  Right now is one of all those days, my grandmother used to have on a housecoat on individuals days…a flowery nightmare. 

 Nowadays, I have on my version..<br>.workout wear.  Yes, our society has gone in the housecoat to spandex with layers as the ultimate fashion statement.  We’re working but are ready for a quick lunch or a workout in a heartbeat.  We have evolved in the housecoat..<br>.but yet we have taken a step back.  We go out in all our schlep attire..<br>.but grandma never did.  The difference inside generations is one of being appropriate in social situations.  I have noticed excellent work-out don that makes this transition nicely, and I have noticed disasters! 

 The newest trend in casual disasters could be the lengthy dress.  Now I truly think designers had a vision here, flowing with good sandals, ideal straw bag and needless to say sand and waves pummeling the background.  This just isn’t to become the case; we have ladies running to the grocery store in what I feel have become the new housecoat sans buttons and pockets.  The selection of colors and prints astound me, and so does the lack of appropriate undergarments and tacky sandals.  This was to be a designer’s crème de la crème of cruise wear not the running to a large store pushing a basket and toting two screaming kids.

 But no matter how you really feel that day, be it the conventional housecoat…the fabulous active put on or the schlep variety or our new housecoat….add a small sparkle, it will brighten up a day of cleaning or general home chores….just like that! 

 So ladies in the long flowing gowns brighten them up with somewhat bling.  Either appear at great earrings plus a cuff or even a fabulous necklace and smaller earrings that don’t take away through the appear.  Put on a fantastic pair of gladiator sandals and leave the Havianas for the beach…take pride, your grandmother did, and if we’re going to wear the “housecoat” out make it search as if working is the last thing on your mind.
