Do you desire to exercise in the comfort of your own home? Well, you can always refer to instructional fitness videos, however, this is [quite|somewhat} dull. You want to inject a great deal of fun in your fitness routine. Then why not try trampolining? Trampolines are now fast becoming more than mere Indeed, a lot of athletes, sports enthusiasts, and fitness buffs now consider them as vital exercise equipment. There are now various special exercise programs that utilize trampolines. These programs have various aims—weight loss, enhancement of cardiovascular function, strength building, and others.

What makes trampolining a great fitness regimen? Well, it all starts when you jump. As you approach the apogee (the highest point) of your jump, each cell in your body is suspended in weightlessness for a fraction of a second. Then as you land back on the bounce mat, every cell receives a pressure of four times the normal gravitational force. That means you are in fact lifting and resisting four times your normal weight. Compare that to lifting weights where you generally lift only about half or two-thirds of your body weight.

Trampolining also strengthens your bones. That is the reason part of the rigorous training programs that astronauts do includes trampolining. In the null-gravity environment of space, bones become less dense and get weaker after just a week or two. Conversely, bones become denser in an environment or situation where gravitational pull is immense, such as landing on a trampoline. Therefore, astronauts jump extensively on trampolines many weeks before their space mission to build up their bones. You should also do the same. Trampolining is also strongly suggested if you are suffering from osteoporosis, however, consult your doctor and your physical therapist first so that you can get the proper exercise program.

A trampoline also improves your muscles. Think of this: your entire body does 5,000 impulses, stresses, and muscle contractions in one hour. Each time you jump on a trampoline, your cells have a tendency to collapse upon impact. To avoid collapsing, your cells strive hard to withstand the pressure. This resistance enhances your body’s cellular strength. As you bounce on the trampoline every day, your cells become stronger, being capable of sustaining more forceful impacts. Best of all, cellular strength is not just for your muscles. Every cell in your organs will benefit too.
